OMG are you awake?? I just finished playing that Perfect Dalgona game you told me about and my brain is still like, buzzing. I can't sleep, seriously.
Remember how that guy described it? "Carve delicate shapes out of honeycomb candy, immersing you in the delicate skill required to perfect each piece without breaking it." LOL. That description is SO wrong it's hilarious. It's like describing a dog as "a furry animal that barks." Technically true, but completely misses the point of why dogs are awesome.
This game is NOT about delicate carving at all. It's about *pressure*. And like, *controlled destruction*. When I first started, I was trying to be super gentle with the little "precision stylus" they give you, right? And it just kept crumbling into dust. I was so frustrated. But then I realized the trick! You're not cutting, your actually using the stylus to *tap* or *hold* in specific spots to guide the cracks. It's like, a puzzle, but with candy.
Honestly, the first time I got a perfect "Starfish" shape to pop out, just by tapping around it, the little *ping* sound it made was so satisfying. I literally gasped. And then I looked at the clock and it was like 1 AM. I thought I'd only been playing for twenty minutes. Your just totally zoned in.
The tools aren't for carving, they're for making the candy *break* in the right way. There's this "vibration wand" for the bigger shapes, like the "Octopus" challenge, and you have to like, hold it just long enough for the cracks to spread but not shatter the whole thing. It's so tense! I don't usually like games that make me think so much, but this was different. It's like that game where you pop bubble wrap, but with a goal and way more strategy.
I already told my brother, Mark, about it. He's usually into those intense shooter games, but I bet even he'd get hooked on the "Honeycomb Hive" level. Because you have to get all the little hexagons out without touching the queen bee in the middle. It's so clever how they did that. It's not about being perfect, it's about knowing *how* to break it.
