Fin Fling Frenzy
About Fin Fling Frenzy
OMG you awake? I literally just put down my phone and I can't sleep, I'm still thinking about Fin Fling Frenzy.
So, you know how Sarah told me it was like, "a slingshot game where you launch fish to hit target fishes hiding in clever small-home-style arrangements"? Like, that's technically true, but it's SO wrong. It's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." Like, yeah, but you're missing the whole point!
I thought it was just gonna be another dumb Angry Birds clone with fish, right? But no. The first time I played, I launched this little neon tetra, thinking it would just smack into a wall. But it didn't! It bounced off a tiny ceramic teacup on a miniature kitchen counter, then ricocheted into this sleeping goldfish tucked into a tiny bed. The goldfish made this tiny, adorable "oof" sound and then pulled its blanket up higher, like it was annoyed. I literally laughed out loud. That's when I knew this game was different.
It's not just about hitting targets. It's like... it's like a puzzle game where the puzzles are these incredibly detailed, tiny fish houses. Like, they're not just structures, they're little homes with tiny furniture, tiny paintings, little fish families having dinner. And your job is to figure out how to cause the most delightful, chain-reaction chaos. Like, I figured out that if you use the grumpy angelfish to knock over the bookshelf in the "Coral Cove Study," it actually opens up a secret path to this little pufferfish that explodes and clears out the whole back room. It's so clever!
And the sounds! There's this little *plink* sound when you hit a specific type of shell decoration, and it's just so satisfying. I'm not usually into these physics-puzzle games, but this one just grabs you. I looked at the clock and it was 2 AM last night, I just kept saying "one more stage, one more stage." I even caught myself trying to figure out the "Kelp Forest Bathroom" stage during my lunch break today.
Honestly, it's not perfect. Sometimes the camera angle on the really big rooms is a bit weird, makes it hard to see the very back. But that's a tiny thing. Your gonna love it. It's really, really fun. You actually want to keep playing, you know? It's like playing with a dollhouse, but you're also a tiny, adorable wrecking ball. You gotta try it. I already told Leo he has to download it.
