OMG dude, you are NOT gonna believe this. It's 11 PM and I literally cannot sleep because I'm still thinking about Block Blaste. Remember how Liam told me it was "the most fun block-playing game. Shoot the small balls to hit the bricks..." blah blah blah? That description is like, totally wrong. It's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings" – technically true, but misses EVERYTHING that makes pizza amazing, you know?
Seriously, I just tried it tonight and it's WILD. I thought it was gonna be some boring brick breaker thing, like those old arcade games. But no. The first time I shot, I aimed kinda bad, but then one of my little pellets hit a green block that made like, five *more* pellets shoot out, and they all just exploded across the screen. It was so chaotic but in the best way. And the sound it makes when you clear a whole row of those sparkly blue blocks? Chef's kiss. It's like a tiny little chime that just makes your brain go "YES."
I swear I only sat down for ten minutes, then looked up and it was almost midnight. I totally lost track of time. Your just aiming and then suddenly you have like, 30 balls bouncing around, hitting everything. And when you hit those yellow power-up blocks, it fills a bar, and then you can just BAM! Wipe out a whole line. It's so satisfying. I figured out if you aim for the very top corner, the balls bounce down and hit way more stuff on the way back up, it's really clever how they did that.
I'm not usually into these kind of puzzle-y games, but this one is different. It's not just about precision, it's about setting up these insane chain reactions. Like, I hit a red block that made all the blocks around it explode, and that cleared the way for my other balls to hit a multiplier, and then it was just a glorious mess of points and sounds. I actually caught myself grinning like an idiot. It’s fun. Really, really fun. You gotta try it. I already told Liam he was totally off with his description, haha.
